@todamoon714 No probs it is just I will trust bare wood or lightly oiled wood (Tung or similar) before I will trust any plastics or rubber "looky-likey" . Nitro-cellulose lacquer will react with some plastics and unfortunately tubing seldom comes with a chemical analysis.
Even if polyethelene is totally cured and safe it will not stop it reacting chemically with the "right" varnish or other "chemicals" . Nice woodwork though !!

Careful with your choice of soft plastic -as there can be a reaction with some guitar varnishes and you can only tell AFTER the neck has been damaged. Bare wood is just fine .Oh and do not let children of any age into a room that contains anything expensive.

@domnal It's a clear polyethelene tubing. Totally cured and safe...but thanks for the input!!!
