well actually the bigger ccd's will in turn put out better colors, the shape is undeniably better no matter what the the filmers prefercence because phisically..a bigger and longer shape allows the user to place their hands farther apart which makes the filming less shaky, the external mic is exceptional for a stock mic and an aftermarket one for the trv would be quite expensive so you mine as well have spent a little more for a vx

actually, its similar, colors are about the same, we all know the vx1k has bigger ccds, better shape for filming? i dont think so, it depends on the person filming, and yeah the vs has an external mic, WOW, u can buy one to a trv, buy a cam handle or something, pretty much a cheaper vx with smaller 3chips, idiot.
