Thanks for another great review, Andrew! If it wasn't for AppSpy via YouTube, I'd probably miss out on a lot of great releases like this one. I saw it in the App Store but looking at static pictures isn't nearly the same as watching a quick demo of gameplay. I also like and highly appreciate AppSpy sticking to doing only iPhone/iPod touch reviews as well. Kudos!

@crazyOnyx1 I was hoping to purchase an iPad 2 this year, but my personal finances wouldn't allow for it. There's a chance I may have one for review purposes sent by the company that owns AppSpy, but we're still working things out. Once I have one in my hands I'll be making iPad game reviews because there are some really great titles out there :)

@AppSpy I actually like your professional voice. I enjoy AppSpy reviews far better than a lot of the others. IGN's good as well, but many others tend to be too unprofessional. That other guy who did some of the AppSpy reviews was really bad at it though - he always sounded like he was reading from a script written by somebody else.

I actually enjoy your reviews. And about your voice, I find it easy to understand, and unlike other reviewers with lots of "mmm...", your voice is clear and straight to the point. Good job!

@AppSpy i disagree with exactspace, In my opinion, I think the professional and structure presentation adds to the quality of your reviews. It avoids pointless rambling and delivers the content clearly, while maintaining personality. Keep up the good work.

I like the appspy video presentation FWIW
AppSpy, you sound like a news anchor. Why don't you just sound like yourself when doing reviews? It's really really annoying and I'm considering unsubscribing just because of this. Please take this criticism seriously.

@exactspace I'm sorry you feel this way - since its inception, AppSpy has chosen to remain professional in its production. To be honest the style that's currently being used for the videos isn't as formal as it used to be and given the right game things are relaxed further. Our feature videos are far more casual and once I can line up a few more previews I'll be bringing those back too. Thanks for your feedback :)

@AppSpy But it's not true at all that being "professional", or obnoxiously exaggerating your own voice in your reviews makes them more effective. For instance, in ClassicGameRoom the reviewer seems to act like himself, and he is also funny and still maintains the ability to say something profound. I think your reviews are informative and the amount of games you review is amazing, but I think you are losing viewers just simply by the way you are talking.

@exactspace I'm far from obnoxiously exaggerating my own voice, but that personal attack aside... I understand what you're saying and I've been toying with a similar style to the one demonstrated in CGR however there are huge problems that make it hard to use this style, most importantly one of being concise. Our videos are short to accomodate the mobile market (a very large % of our viewership is via mobile browser) (cont.)

@AppSpy (cont.) and if I went with the American Broadcaster style (which is what you're indicating) my reviews would balloon out drastically. There are ways around this, but believe me when I say we've tested these waters and what you see is the current best fit for the limitations we have in place. With that said I'll take on board what you've said and test things out again ;)
