  • Wow, this is impressive, massive gain !! You don't use any kind of boost in this test, or may be just the amp boost ?

  • @niahaa

I have 3 Alchemist demos here, one of which has a boost, but this one is straight amp.

  • @ElephantTank

Just bought a alchemist head, it sounds great clean, but kinda crap on the mercury channel, very fizzy/fuzzy, gets even worse when the mid and treable are beloew 12 noon on the amp, is this normal? or do i have a bad one?

    thanks!

  • @dannymarx123

I'm sure it could be setup to be fizzy/fuzzy but if that's all you can get out of it I'd say that's not normal.

Yes, Marshalls work with the bonger. Just match the head/cab impedence, plug in the bonger and presto! You now have a Marshall plugged into your bonger.

  • these sound awesome! i'll think about one.

  • Great demo. The palm muting doesn't sound enough brutal for me. Just my opinion, but... someone invented the stompboxes to make things more brutal^^

  • @Metalwurst666

I'm not really familiar with those bands, however, this amp is fairly vintage in style so you're really only going to get it to be so "metal." In other words, it's not going to sound like an Engl, 5150, Uberschall, etc.

  • @ElephantTank do you have experience with playing this amp with a tubescreamer in front of it? i wonder if is it possible to get it suitable for the more extreme metal regions... i dont need bunches of gain, a fat metal tone comes from hitting heavily and playing tightly, but i like to have a good sharpness and very present mids in my tone... can this amp produce such sounds if you push it hard enough? a good reference of what im searching for is All That Remains on the album This Darkened Heart

  • @CopperKing33

I'd go for a Bogner Uberschall for those tones.
