ENYA 53 4C RUNNING

hi, heres a ENYA 53 4C 4 stroke running. I got it in a trade off rcuniverse. it was gummed up pretty good. I freed it up and here it is running. it has a 10x8 APC prop and the original ENYA glow plug.
its running on wild-cat 15% fuel. it will idle for days and has big time top RPM. Gary. ;-)

Hi Gary i have the same engine but it wouldn't idle. Just can't get it down to a good idle because the engine oscillates at idle speed and dies. Great high speed and transition though. Using Enya glow plug no:3 new. 11x8 master airscrew prop also tried 11x7, 12x7 & 12x8.

The whole engine has been rebuilt except for the carburetor. Fuel i'm using is power master 15% nitro. Also tried 20% nitro. Nothing works.

So is there anybody with an idea what needs to be done in this situation

for one thing your useing to much prop. use a 11x6 or 12x5. again put a new OS type F plug. you have a bad plug in it. even if it was new when you instaled it, put the OS type F plug in it. ;-D

Hi Gary -

I just seen this 9/1/9 and I could not believe my eyes to see that engine run so well! Folks, this engine was not used in over 9 years and stored in dusty locations. I did not even try to get this working when I owned it just seeing that the eengine had not been run in a long time... Gary is one of the best at making engines hum again. Good job Gary! I have already tried brand new os type F glow plug and same result so i'm gonna try the 11x6 prop tomorrow per your suggestion.
