i've been listening to the madz for quite a long time. kakaiba nga ang tunog na 'to ng Magkakapatid. if the person who posted this video claims that this is really the madz, the evolution of the voice he is talking about eh parang negative ang naging dating. the tenor part parang pilit na pilit. and while i am listening to this, nahihirapan ako. this is very unusual. of all the videos kasi, ito lang yung kakaiba. no offense po sa comment na to, pare-pareho lang tayong fans ng madz.

this is madz during acclamation concert (april 23-24, 2005) at ccp. if you want to verify, go to the CCP library and ask for a video documentation of the concert. di mo lang maririnig, makikita mo pa na madz nga. i said evolution because an earlier batch of madz (search: "Magkakapatid" - Philippine Madrigal Singers) also recorded this. kung palagay mo negative yun, e opinion mo yun.

di naman lahat ng batch ng madz magkasing galing katulad ng ibang nauna o sumunod. nagkataon lang na ang orig version ng madz na kumanta yung 1989 batch na talaga namang napakagaling... often referred as the best batch ever sa madz. isa pa, mr carpio is till in his first few years as choirmaster when this was recorded kaya siguro maraming di gaanong na-impress sa tunog ng batch na 'to.

sopranos were a lil sharp at the end. Then the part where the guy soloist sang "magmahalan tayo", prang ppiyok na ewan. Though the fact na madrigal ang kmknta and this song is one of my favorites kya kebs ako sa sablay. You guys still rock!

haha, I think this was during the "infamous" Acclamation concert where my Madz friends say they only had two-weeks to prepare an all "new" repertoire (at least for that batch)
