Mr Liu is head of passenger affaires at Zhengzhou, one of China's busiest stations. And Mr Fu is party secretary and responsible for the political education of the station staff. Both men are filmed working at this hectic station where chaos is rife when about 1.2 million people are trying to get home on the eve of Chinese New Year. This clip of the documentary film 'This happy life' shows a baby boy, left alone somewhere on the hectic station. The staff is contemplating the fate of this child.

Human trafficking is a huge problem. That vendor may very well sell the boy into slavery.

In China babys can walk when they're born. :D

I believe those people who gave him away were probably some type of police or guard, and they did ask for ID. Most traditional chinese, like that vendor who took the baby, really care about having some one to take care of them when they are old. besides, what else could they do? bring the baby to an orphanage, where he'll probably not get as good a care as a single family? or just let the baby lie there to freeze or starve to death? at least they kept some record of who he's with.

omg I can't believe they just gave that little baby away. that man could be crazy or a sex offender!!! They could have at least reported this to the police. Poor little baby.

Maybe that man had the best of intentions. Maybe he didn't. How could they just hand over a baby to a random stranger like that? How could they play with child's life like that, to give him away to a stranger at the mall?! This is criminal.
