Just some noodling with my Yamaha SA-30 and an Ibanez PDD-1 delay. It's a digital delay, but I guess because it's older... is relatively "primitive" and lacks some of the fidelity of newer delays, thus is seems to have a warmer tone.

The Yamaha has a pair of single coils - that single going tone is very evident from this clip.

  • Respond to this video... I'll add that I do really like playing this unplugged as well. Just kinda a nice almost acoustic like feel without the volume, great for coming up with rhythm/chord parts.

  • @jjhbowers Love/hate thing. Overall I do like it, and it can sound really good. The cons are that the trem arm gets loose and swings too far out of the way, the neck itself is very odd almost too lightweight feeling, the pickups can sound a little thin. I'd love to try a SA-50.

  • Nice! How do you like your yamaha Sa 30-

I am thinking of buying one!
