A new DS game eh, bet many people were disappointed that it wasn't the new Wii game. I was quite excited since I did the Phantom Hourglass Speed run. Fortunately this new game uses the same game engine (same graphics, movement, enemies, etc).. So it seems like this game is set in 1 island and not many small islands like the previous 2 cel shaded titles.

During the analysis there are 2 moments in the video that has no sound at all, it was mainly because I don't have the MP3 file of the Spirit Track's Music (not counting the sound effects) also pausing the frame is easier since not everyone has the most up to date Adobe Flash to see Annotations.

If any of you viewers make some interesting comments, I will add annotations into the video with the colour blue, green is from me and red is some funny nonsense.

Edit:
Seems like Gametrailers has added their own analysis video too:
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/47268.html

They pointed out some interested features I didn't see mainly because how short the clip lasted during the trailer.

  • its not a "deku clover" its the "whirlwind"

  • Obviously this video was made before the official names were revealed.

  • I also bet that there might be mroe than one Train Chart Ex. North Western Sea Chart: North Western Track Chart?

  • I will be Phantom Hourglass all over again :P. As long it doesn't have a temple you need to visit time to time again (like Temple of the Ocean King).

Reading your other comment, sounds interesting, but 'WhirlWind' sound generic. Gust Clover sounds cooler.

  • Link rides a Choo-choo!

  • I think the game looks great. Besides, Nintendo has been known to surprise us. Remember how everyone thought the Cel-shaded effects in Wind Waker would be stupid?

The flood never receded the setting of this game is new hyrule the place discovered by Link and Tetra. This is not old Hyrule so no this game is not a sequel to Zelda 2 in any way

  • Zelda is probably a great granddaughter because she's like 7-14 years old unlike linebeck 3 who's like 27-40 years old

  • its set a couple of dacades afterthe phanom hourglass and you even see linebecks grandson

  • It clearly has references to Wind Waker. In the castle you can see a huge mosaic of Tetra and lots of Tetra's flag emblems on the carpets. Zelda is also Tetra's umm maybe great grand daughter. This sage says she knows Zelda's relatives when they first discovered this land.
