  • Beautiful. Nice work. Alcohol or water based? I'm attempting my own little project and wondering about sealer. Did you apply a sealer and if so, was it before or after you stained it? Thanks for sharing.

  • Alcohol soluble dyes (Transtint) applied to bare wood, sealed after staining with sprayed blonde shellac.

  • Это Ваша работа над мандолиной? Я приятно удивлена, что у нас в России есть мастера, которые делают мандолины.

  • is that french polish?

  • ah interesting this is the mandoline cafe mandoline. i just browsed that website and saw the challenge... would like to restore an old ebay-mandoline that i can get for like 30-50 bucks, do you think i can do it ? we have glue here, a workshop and i can get new strings...

  • very nice

sometimes sunburst finishes seem a little to crisp when the color meets another color but u did this amazingly. By the looks of it you used 3 colors and would rub the next color into the next right?

  • amazing. that is one mighty fine sunburst. thanks for putting this up.

  • Very nice!
