On June 23, 2005 an auto accident nearly took my life, but God had other plans!
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO PROTECT: Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe." God started protecting me and my family long before the accident took place. Not only were angels surrounding my driver's seat, but my 2 precious children (who were miraculously out of town) were spared certain death because their seats were in the mangled mess beneath the tow truck that hit me!!!
I was air lifted to Atlanta Medical Center and immediately entered their trauma unit for surgery. My head had been cut from my right eyebrow, all the way up and over to the back of my head ... requiring sutures to my hairline and staples all the way back . My left earlobe had been severed apart and sewn back together, I had broken a rib, along with many lacerations, cuts and abrasions. After a couple of days passed while I was in ICU, an MRI was performed to determine the extent of the damage to my neck. Once my neck brace was removed, they found a massive wound area on the back of my neck due to imbedded glass. The only thing they could do was flush out the glass and let the horrific open wounds heal on their own. The MRI determined there was a severe rupture and fracture in my neck at discs C5-C7, which required surgery where metal plates and screws were placed. This may seem like a lot of injuries, but based on the accident scene, it appeared as though my head had been decapitated. Not only did God keep me alive, but there were no skull fractures, brain damage and it was a miracle I didn't lose my eye, given the metal missed it by a fraction of an inch.
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO COMFORT: Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Through the continual prayers of countless numbers of family and friends, God comforted me during the months and years as I struggled to cope with my health, my inability to function as a mother and wife, financial difficulties, the horrific legal issues and so much more.
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HEAL: Psalm 30:2 "O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me." After 2 years and 4 months of doctor's visits, physical therapy and debilitating pain on a daily basis ... God miraculously healed me on October 24, 2007 through the power of my own prayer that took place between me and my daughter Julia!!!
GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!!

  • Thank you so much for letting us see and know of another miracle GOD has bestowed upon us, this is to help lead others of us to HIM. Just knowing how much you could endure through HIM.I pray for others to see and read this and give themselves over to GOD. HE is the only way.I am a believer.I pray for all non belivers. A Sister to a Friend.

    Thank you GOD

  • I know this is a late reply, but I want you to know how much you encouraged me through your comment. Of course we always question ourselves when we "put ourselves out there." I am a profoundly firm believer in what God did for me then and since then ... I will not be moved from that determination. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. What a blessing you've been to me. In His love, Krysti

  • But i am very glag that you are ok

  • Thank you for your encouragement.

  • god does not exist, but i agree for most people he adds a confort (which is imaginary)

  • God does exist ... I'll just pray that some day you'll realize it before it's too late for you. Take care!

  • Dear Kristi,

I am so glad you survived this aweful accident.

While some find it hard to wonder why God allows some to live and some to die, good and bad, the creater knows what he is doing, and is beyond the reasoning of the human being.

I am so glad you have faith, and live long and prosper for your positive outlook.

    Trisha

  • Well, I did say in my second comment that I was glad no limbs were lost etc. As a registered health professional, it does annoy me when praise is given to a god instead of the people that, in reality, made the difference. It would have been demonstrateably more loving of a god to have prevented the accident in the first place, therefore saving so much pain.

  • Just putting across a different point of view. I just cant understand how some people see the world and I guess it does drive me nuts.

  • Could you and rationalthinker be ANY more negative!? I happen to know Krysti and she is a wonderful person. Someone that you would like to call a friend. Couldn't you just be glad for her regardless of your differing beliefs? Why does belief in God always cause non-believers to get SO UPTIGHT?? Just wondering? I thought your comments were unecessary. Just close the video if it offends you.

  • Hang on. Just noticed that nowhere do the emergency medical services get a mention of thanks for all their efforts. All those people, all that effort, all those years of training. It begger's belief. I tell you, when it comes to it, I would rather have half a dozen EMS people helping me than the prayers of all the local worshipers. Nuff said. Rant over.

  • I'm very glad that no limbs (or parts thereof) were lost. As no god has ever, ever, re-grown a lost limb.

  • No no, the accident was punishment for believing in the wrong god! Driver BEWARE next time! Though of course I am glad that the god was not too vengeful and that there was ultimately no loss of life.

  • Isn´t the more likely explanation that you were unlucky to have the accident and lucky to survive it? In the unlikely event that there is a God you ought to know that he is letting 80,000 people die on the roads in India every year, maybe their poor road safety is to blame rather than God being to busy helping out in the USA to help them. The UK has a pretty low accident rate despite a rather high rate of aethism,

  • maybe its road safety and not God to thank. In Mexico nearly everyone is religious but 10 people in the back of a a pickup, children not using seatbelts and plenty of drink driving is going to mean a high accident rate, some of those will have serious accidents and survive by chance but they will be thanking god of course
