U2's The Edge demonstrating his guitar rig (1/2)

Love The Edge as a guitarist but there's one thing I've always wondered about. Since the Rattle and Hum-era, I've never seen him with that cap off. What is hidden behind that cap?

the edge is one of the greatest out there. he has to suck from whatever riffs haven't been used up already. the guy creates from a vacuum of all that rock that came before, not considering he does it every new album and song, the music isn't duplicated even from what he's done before.(w/this exception) yet, i can always tell a u2 song within 2 or 3 notes, he is so distinctive.

Every member in U2 cannot be replaced. Its the sum of the parts that make up the legends they are. Their friendship resonates on stage and when you hear them all together in an interview you can see why they all hung out since high school.

the edge is probably my favorite guitar player of all time, but i still think green day is a good band, the edge IS a better guitar player than billie joe, but i still respect green day's

I totally disagree! There are far more better soloists than the Edge, but his tastefull rhythm guitar riffs in combination with his use of effects define the overall U2 sound. Agreed, Bono can't be replaced, but neither can the Edge. That defines top acts: you can't replace Brian May, Keith Richards, Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger...it's the voice and the guitar!!!
