http://www.lametalroof.com/standing-seam-metal-roof.php - Vertical panels standing seam metal roof installation in Ipswich MA in the winter of 2010.

This metal roof is a 16" aluminum standing seam - .032" thickness, Snap-Lock profile installed over new plywood deck and GAF Deck Armor breathable synthetic underlayment. Panels are attached to the roof deck with stainless steel clips, using two screws per clip.

  • What type of foam insualtion is being used under the metal? What r value is it?

  • @PeakPureAir1 - there is no foam insulation - the blue thing you see under the metal roof panels is the GAF deck armor underlayment.

It's a barn, so no insulation is used / needed.

  • Your website calls this a "How to Install" video. All it shows is someone screwing in cleats and cutting something with tin snips. There is no information on "how to install."

Would you rename your video with a more accurate description?
