There is a multi-million dollar, coordinated campaign underway to push small business off the Internet, brought to you by the same lobby who already steamrolled Main Street America.

How are they doing it? By using everything from selective distribution or no eBay contractual clauses to Retail Price Fixing to accusing small online retailers of leading a life of crime.

Make no mistake, this campaign is aimed squarely at the Internet. More precisely, aimed at the small retailers, entrepreneurs and consumers who use the technology. According to Big Box Thinking, the Internet is seen as a villain an agent of destabilizing technology. Destabilizing? Do consumers consider it destabilizing when they can find better prices? No, they consider it a bargain. Do creative entrepreneurs, the small businesses that have always been the backbone of our economy, consider the Internet to be destabilizing? No, they see it as a way for the little guy to compete with the behemoths.
