Three Minutes: On "Global Warming"

I made this episode as part of an effort started by Casey McKinnon at the Yahoo! Vlogging Message Board. It's an episode that is based on a rather disturbing map of the difference over or under normal temperature of U.S Cities I found just four minutes before I started shooting this video clip. The map -- at www.weather.com -- shows that half of geographic America has cities that are over their norms. Plus, this does not mean that the other half is under. No. Actually, from this we can state that most of urban America is "warmer" this Christmas than normal. Seems like the seeds of a problem to me. Three Minutes-

The reason why all the cities are warming is because of the Urban Heat Effect. Cities grow, which means more buildings and asphalt which creates local heat. When you take temperatures in these cities, the temperatures are warmer than they should be. Then when you include these data in a graph, the trend is steeper than it should be. Al Gore lied to us. GLOBAL WARMING IS A LIE. The earth is warming because we have been coming out of the little ice age. Did you guys know that we are do for another ice age soon. We are in the quaternary period and in an ice age cycle. Also during the holocene maximum 4,000 years ago the earth was much warmer than it is today. Also CO2 does not cause temperature change its the opposite. Most of the CO2 in the atmosphere are released by the oceans. Watch THE GREAT GLOBAL WARMING SWINDLE.

the sweds, dutch, german, portugese and spanish are all weening of the hunger for fossil fuels diligently, as a back up plan for the day when the inevitable happens. i think governments should have contingency plans instead of putting oil companies and economic political posturing in the primary.

You seem like a nice dude! but as for Al Gore,what a hiprocrate! flys on a private jet which leaves alot more polution then a large passenger jet! also has 2 or 3 homes that use lots of energy! oh well the worlds getting worse as I type! Have a good day!

I have been studying the subject of Global Warming For over 4 years now and from what I have learned it is a misconseption of a trend in the world. You see, the world started out regular. Then slowly as the climate Changed The top half of the world was covered with ice Ice Age Now all thats happening iis that we are going beack to normal. And after that another Ice Shet will cover the earth the melt again. This process will continue until the end of the world in my opinion

Global warming is a serious issue, but temporary weather patterns are not the best evidence of it. What should we do about it? Hmm... do you drive a car? Do you use heat, air conditioning, or electricity? Can you cut those by 65%? It aint easy.
