The actual title of the film is "Downfall". Untergang in German. The film is set at the end of World War 2 in Europe, in Hitler's bunker. Hitler is receiving reports of retreats (expressly forbidden by Hitler) and losses. Hitler is having a meltdown and is cursing out his military and the German people. The expression on the faces of those watching is a response to the lack of calm on the part of their leader (and his tantrum).
