On a break from practice for the 2009 Windsor Military Tattoo, Sandra, (Bass Drummer for the RCMP Pipes & Drums) went into the yard and shot this video. It's a view from the other side of the gate as the Irish Guards arrive for the morning Changing of the Guard ceremony at Windsor. Sandra thought I'd enjoy it as I was born in Ireland and my family did raise Irish Wolfhounds at one point. I did enjoy it, very much, but most of my enjoyment was because it wasn't me who had to get up, get into uniform, strap a 14 lb Premier side drum to my body and walk a few miles (kilometers) ... LOL! It's a parade I get to 'watch' ... not 'do' ... for a change and that is very enjoyable indeed!

  • The sound of distant drumming & a marching guard always sends shivers down my spine. Brilliant feeling

  • @Aznar245 'm so glad you pointed that out. Of course a guy from Texas would know all about the Regiment and it's history. The fact that more than 3/4 of them are actual Irish-born members from both the North and South of Ireland. DON'T attempt to get a sectarian comment run started here. Pull on your Tony Lamas and your stetson, strap on your six-shooter and go for a walk ... y'all!

  • @dobert49 I didn't read a fucking thing you wrote.. you need a girlfriend and a life.. fuck off troll cunt!!

  • @Aznar245 Condescending jack-offs like me aren't true Irish or did you mean the Irish Guards aren't true Irish? Or maybe you meant all condescending jack-offs AND the Irish Guards weren't true Irish? Clarity is important. Here's some. I was Born in Belfast to a Catholic father and a Protestant mother and neither side had a problem with that! When was the last time you visited Ireland? I was there in 2010 visiting both sides of the border. We even had a few days with everyone together!

  • @kozmon0t It's not patriotism for me. I simply get upset reading this kind of stuff on almost every Irish site. These 'know-it-all', sectarian fueled, opinionated people ... generations removed from Ireland, spew out venomous hearsay as hard fact! Even if they were to say something like 'I feel ...' or 'In my opinion ...' I could deal with it, but they don't! Being Irish-born it just gets under my skin.

  • @ldhennessy11 lol ... you may be right!

  • @TASHKENTGOATMAN QS :-)
