If God is Love like I heard in this video clip then maybe we should copy Him? If he knows what is good or bad for us maybe we should obey? Since he Loves us he gives us free will to love him and others as well. If you have kids do they always understand your loving motives in your decisions? Some of us got disciplined by loving parents and never understood why. Now that i'm older I understand why. Maybe God is giving us time to really understand his true motive...that is His love for you and me.

@Greatbloke I always ask questions. I sometimes ask questions about God as well and doubt the idea that God can exist. I am just trying to convince others to think for themselves. When I say I believe in God, it is because I have found God on my own. If I say something is scientifically proven, it is because I have seen it with my own eyes. Scientists can say they know something, but until I understand that science, I cannot know it. I can only believe what they say. I keep an open mind always.

@marine5546 I like a person that questions, as you do.. but remember that it's important to ask questions of what you accept, not just what you don't accept. Can I ask that you peruse the website talk origins.org. It answers questions such as yours in greater detail and clarity than is possible here. Also be warned that there are religious groups that feed bullshit to people..Talk origins is an antidote to that; you just need to be open minded enough to study it. Cheers, my friend.

@Greatbloke why did we evolve so much more than other animals? we evolved from monkeys, yet modern day monkeys are pretty much the same as the ones we evolved from. to me it just doesn't make sense.

@marine5546 It's very easy to explain how we have higher intelligence, "we evolved". There's no "supposed" about it, it's scientifically proven. When you assume god as the answer, it is "supposed", because you have no reasonable supporting evidence.

@Greatbloke Man is always asking questions. Why? Because it is impossible to understand everything fully. Often when something is discovered, it is because someone stumbled across the answer. You think humans have the highest intelligence out of ANYTHING in existence? We have a higher understanding than animals even though we supposedly evolved from animals...how do you explain that? Surely we are not the ultimate beings in the universe.
