At this exact moment, I was to the right of the stage, fairly close, with uncontrollable tears streaming down my face. I was at Bonnaroo and thought "Let's see if Al Green does a professional job of phoning it in before I go see David Bryne." I did not expect to see a living legend working it like a no-name kid who had something to prove. It was the best show I saw all weekend, by far. (A phoned in, formulaic set did occur on that same stage, but it was the next night when Springsteen played.)
