It begins with Suzanne Perry, angel-voiced singer from the successful ethereal duo Love Spirals Downwards. Her vocals set the tone for the rest of the band, while her ability to elicit emotion connects Melodyguild to its audience. It continues with Nicholas Pallos, who brings to the band his unique, personal drumming style and knowledge of multiple instruments, adding a gentle intensity to the mix. Next is Cris Miller, who contributes his proficiency in production, transforming musical ideas into full arrays of melody, further completing the vision Melodyguild sets out to achieve. Matt Gleason adds lush guitar and effects, both of which fuel the bands beautiful tone. And finally, Rodney Rodriguez deftly secures the link between rhythm and melody on bass.

  • Someone needs to get their facts straight. Cris Miller and Rodney Rodriguez are NOT playing on this song, nor did they play anywhere on the EP Aitu. John West is playing Bass and should get credit. John is in one of your photos. He is also a great guy! Rodney plays on none of the songs. Rodney didnt "secure" any "link" between anything. Nothing against you bebegoth but credit should go where credit is due.

Yeah, I just through them out there. When you have nearly one thousand CDs alone across numerous genre, it gets hard to remember them all, but Suzanne Perry will always stand out. I bought her CD immediately after I found out about it. Love it!

And a reminder to all, buy the music so the artists can continue entertaining you! They don't work for free, do you?

  • @no1musclecar wow good tastes!! My favourites are Suzanne Perry; Cocteau Twins & Rose McDowall!! I also like Dark orange they are good! (not so much for the rest you cite...)

  • Correction, I meant "Dark Orange" not "Burnt Orange"

  • Thanks for posting this video. I didn't know Suzanne was in a new group. Always liked her voice, although I felt the last album went too far with the percussion. There are few voices like hers, and none so soothing. There was a group called "Burnt Orange" I think that did a cover of "The Sound of Silence" that is worth finding. I also like Bel Canto, the Cocteau Twins, Loreena McKennitt, Evanesence, Switchblade Symphony, and one of my old faves, Strawberry Switchblade. Thanks!

  • muy linda vos
