As Hurricane Ike churns toward the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Hunter aircraft are flying into the storm gathering data for forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Florida. The modified cargo planes are operated jointly by the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. VOA's Paul Sisco has more on a recent flight through a storm.
Nice should be flying over Hurricane Earl Tomorrow as united have already warned us for a bumpy ride. UA954 SFO-LHR
