- Fingon the Valiant, son of Fingolfin.
- Finrod Felagund, son of Finarfin.
- Beren and Lúthien.
- Túrin Turambar.
- Glorfindel of Gondolin.
- Isildur son of Elendil.

All the images where found through Google and DeviantArt. I tried to credit all the artists but if I forgot someone please tell me! :)

Btw, the narrator is Maglor son of Feänor ;)

Song lyrics by HammerFall:

Snow is falling down on this glorious land
Colours fading, turning into white again
To fallen heroes angels sing, they cry their winter tears
Endless mourning days will turn to years

So this is goodbye, I take leave of you and
Spread your wings and you will fly away now, fly away
Now

Nothing on earth stays forever
But none of your deeds were in vain
Deep in our hearts you will live again
You're gone to the home of the brave

Every solemn moment I will treasure inside
Even though it's hard to understand
That a silent wind can blow the candle out
Taking everything leaving the pain far behind

You call out my name, but your voice is fading
Into the wind, embraced, you'll fly away now, fly away
Now

Nothing on earth stays forever
But none of your deeds were in vain
Deep in our hearts you will live again
You're gone to the home of the brave

My eyes are closed I feel you're faraway ( so close )
Far beyond that shining star
I know you'll find what you've been fighting for
Far beyond that shining star

Down on bended knee I pray, bring courage to these Souls
Make'em live forever in the heart of the bold
So I say farewell my friends, I hope we'll meet again
When my time has come to fall from grace

So this is goodbye, I take leave of you and
Spread your wings and you will fly away now, fly away
Now

Nothing on earth stays forever
But none of your deeds were in vain
Deep in our hearts you will live again
You're gone to the home of the brave...

Never forget them ^^

  • nice job, you made me cry, props nothing more to say ;)

  • @amjoi567890 Somehow, each of these stories is enough to make me cry, too. Thanks a lot for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^

  • why isildur? what about elendil and gil-galad? barahir and the company? gwindor and beleg? huan the hound (ok he is a dog, so what!)? finwe? feanor (ok he was a son of a bitch but he did died like a real hero)? thorin's nephews fili and kili? helm hammerhand or fram? HURIN THALION!!?? or huor, his brother? hador and gundor? earnur?

so many heroes, i know, but some of them here really deserves to be at least mentioned, otherwise great video with great pics and excellent music! i like it

  • @WoollyMammoth16 I did not make a "selection". I just chose the heroes dearest to me, who are not always the most popular. I think there is enough material about Elendil, Gil-Galad or Feänor already... I like them as well, of course, but I would need 20 min and not only 7:36 if I were to mention all of them. Btw, why *not* Isildur? You say Feänor was "a son of a bitch but he died like a real hero"... I say: "Isildur acted like a son of a bitch because of the Ring's influence, and died like a dog

  • @WoollyMammoth16 ...but he lived as a great hero." He kept safe the fruit of the Tree and guided his people out from Númenor, he fought against the Shadow for many years and he lost his father to Sauron... but he still managed to cut out the ring from Sauron's hand... I guess if he had died the same moment Elendil did, he would be considered a true hero.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the video. You're right, so many heroes were not added here, but not because I thought they didn't deserve it.

  • So so wonderful. I watched it with tears in my eyes. Glory to the brave, glory to the heroes! they shall never die, unless we forget them and THIS will NEVER happen as long as there would be anyone who can remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. It's amazing tribute and they really deserve it!

    Excellent work!

  • @Epifairos Thank you very much. True heroes should never be forgotten! Glad to hear you were moved by this.
