  • 7 If you look over to the right you can see a bunch of music videos made by Kipp. I am here to vouch for Kipp as a former gun owner. You see he recorded a few of those songs at my house in AZ and during a dinner break Kipp was pulled over with my 5 year old son on his way back to my house and of course the cop found a pistol in his trunk. Well that made the simple stop take a little longer hahaha. Anyway Kipp proved that he was the registered owner and they actually let him go with a warning.

  • @alockout

Dude, I had completely forgotten about that. What a great example of how gun registration does NOT inhibit the rights of gun owners. Thanks man!

  • 7... Roughly 16,272 murders were committed in the United States during 2008. Of these, about 10,886 or 67% were committed with firearms.

Roughly 33,808 motor vehicle deaths in 2009. Which was actually down 9.7% from 2008. See the funny thing about statistics, you can make any argument look good or turn it in your favor.

  • 7 Gun crimes in Hawaii are low, I will give you that. But is it because of the laws passed or the seclusion of your state? You made a comment about one not needing an assault rifle to hunt deer and it is bothering me. Why? There is no difference between a semi-auto deer rifle, a semi-auto assault rifle, or a semi-auto shotgun (used for birds) I understand the theft issue you are going to bring up. Lets face it, Hawaii ranks up there in this department.

  • Rick Perry said "i believe in gun control, if you can't control the gun with one hand, use both hands"

  • @jazzfan5000 Jazz, you're quite correct that the only reason to own a gun is to kill. Sadly, in order to protect your own life, that is sometimes necessary. As a progressive and a gun owner, I didn't come to this conclusion lightly. I concluded that I could remain a victim, or defend my life, my family, and my community. I chose the later.

  • @alvagoldbook2 Read what I said to Kip about owning guns. There is only purpose to own a gun and that is a purpose to kill. I have never shot a gun or had a reason to kill anyone or any creature. Therefore I feel it's totally useless to even own a firearm.

If the government would decide they're going to attack their own people and invoke tyranny on the masses, you're not going to be worried about your "cold, dead hands" - you will be worried about your "charcoal remains"

  • @jazzfan5000 There's no question, that an organized attack requires an organized defense. But that doesn't change the fact that if an individual has the right to his own life, then fundamentally, he would then have the right to protect and defend his own life. A nation of gunowners makes a totalitarian gov't more difficult to establish. But a nation of gunowners is no defense against the military industrial complex.

  • @alvagoldbook2 "Jefferson reasoned that such a system would prevent a military coup, but also be the best defense against invasion."

So where were the gun owners during the Oklahoma City bombing or on Sept. 11, 2001 when two jets crashed into the World Trade Center? Hell, there was a whole navy equipped with tank bombers on board the USS Cole when it was besieged by terrorists! Jefferson's idea worked, I see!

  • Kipp, I have never owned a gun, never shot a gun, and never wanted to own a gun. I have held a few in my hand with no other intention than to just look (safety on no bullets) and it made me think... what other purpose can you tell me a gun has other than the purpose of killing someone or some creature? Gun nuts will say we have a right to own a gun but for any other purpose besides being able to kill is something they have yet to figure out! I really think it's useless to have a gun at all!

  • Ur fuckin WRONG!!!!!

PEOPLE kill people, guns DON'T do that on their own!!!

But would u ban people for that? NO, u wouldn't, so get the fuck off the guns andf get the fuck off the people who do NOT commint crimes with them!

  • "Since Hawaii has X gun laws and low gun crime, if the rest of the USA has X gun laws crime would reduce".

"Since blue and red makes purple, blue and green makes purple".

Yeah, I don't think so, call me crazy.

  • 7... Household gun ownership is around 8 - 11 % in Hawaii, which is considerably lower than most states. One could make a direct correlation between the small number of citizens who do own guns and Hawaii's high rank in theft related crimes.
