This is not a real soldiers point of view. This guy was chosen very carefully. Oh, and by the way, this is NOT for the ordinary guy who has not yet been through brain wash school.

@LokiMischief88 yeah?... the real point of view of what.
the video-grapher is a soldier, questions by a soldier and edited by some senior soldier.
PS- he would say nothing from "real point of view" while in uniform.

@HortonofDOOM You can be a combat medic for the Army. You wouldn't be thrown around at all... Once you sign your contract to be a medic you WILL be a medic unless you change jobs, or get kicked out lol
-
@HortonofDOOM Well I would say both. It is 70% mental and 30% physical... You do ALOT of physical training that will make you want to die lol but that's where the mental willingness to drive on comes in... No matter how tough it gets remember to never quit! Wish you could join us man!

@vfIskullangel Like most of the troops stationed in Middle East during the Gulf War, Swofford saw very little actual combat. Swofford's book and movie narrative focuses on the emotional and psychological struggles of the young troops, especially violence. He recounts disappointment of having trained so long and so hard, only to never engage the enemy due to the brevity of the war. Thats why you question this young man??
Interesting, so talking about "life in the unit" or life in the army for that matter, can be nicely summed up as descriptions of operational procedure?
To the so-called interviewer: great job in avoiding the REAL issues. You could have found the answers to your amateurish questions in TIME magazine. There is no "life" in this interview.
