Haley is an 8 month old female Siberian mix at the Montgomery Co. Humane Society in Rockville, MD. She was given up due to allergies. She was left alone for as long as 10 hours at a time, crated, so she did have accidents, but we think it was because she was left along so much. She is high energy and needs training. The previous owner said she was not good with other dogs, but when we had her out in the exercise yard, she was very eager to play with a puppy that was also outside. She was pulling toward the puppy and very vocal and loud, but was acting happy and wagging her tail. We had a hard time evaluating her because she was so preoccupied with the puppy. The previous owner said she was timid, but was more comfortable with women. She LOVED the male kennel tech that brought her outside. She climbed into his lap and became agitated when he walked away. She didn't mind either of us touching her anywhere. She was very excited and hyper and was not interested in the chicken. She is a petite little thing. She has been there since Nov. 12, and weighs 41 pounds. She will need exercise and training, and may need some work on potty training. Very sweet girl, but will become more hyper and anxious the longer she is in the shelter. Would benefit from being in a foster home. Shelter web site is www.mchumane.org.
