A lot of people say this doesn't sound 8-bit, but it DOES sound 8-bit. It's just not NES style 8-bit, which is what most people associate with 8-bit.
Even so, however many bits of processing power a console has really has little to do with what the music will sound like. Believe it or not, most arcade games from the 80's and early 90's, despite sounding superior to the NES and even SNES, ran on 8-bit processors.

You know, I've been looking around, and considering the fact that there were a lot of 8 bit systems of sound processing, it's getting really irritating that the NES system is highly praised. Yeah, I know, it's a classic, but then there's that and holding milestones as the only thing possible.
In essence, that reeks of annoyance just as much as whining over english dubbing in video games and anime. This crap needs to stop.

I just want to apologize for not being clear with my description of the video. This was indeed made with GXSCC and I did grab a midi from VGMusic...
