It entered Billboards Topp 100 chart at #25, and was #1 in its 3rd week for 8 straight weeks. It was the chart for a total of 30 weeks, the longest of any Presley single. It peaked at #3 on the Country Best Seller chart; and reached #1 for one week on the Country Juke Box chart; it was #1 on the rhythm & blues chart for 4 weeks. In England, it was his first single to top the British charts, and stayed there for 7 weeks. Total sales exceeds 2,000,000 copies. It was the A-side to Thats When Your Heartaches Begin. Reportedly, Elvis singing Yeah, Yeah, in the lyrics inspired John Lennon and Paul McCartney to add yeah, yeah, yeah to She Loves You. One of his best songs! I always check out if the year of the song is before or after his mother´s death. He was great at the 50´s. Then he lost himself after his mother´s death in my opinion. He did some great songs then on the 60´s and the 70´s too, absolutely, but the "real" Elvis was on the 50´s.
