Groucho's ad lib "and that's the first time I've enjoyed hearing it" was priceless!!
-
How I wish I could see Tallulah on the stage! Wasn't there any recording of that? Greetings from Singapore.

@HOE68YEN I haven't found any at all, I've found the normal things like the Lucy Desi Comedy hour, Batman, and her movies but no stage performances. IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY! I know that there have got to be a few out there somewhere, at least of her last few plays!

This is from one of Tallulah's appearances on "THE ALL-STAR REVUE" in 1952- Groucho appeared frequently on her radio series "THE BIG SHOW", so this was natural banter for both of them. Unfortunately, "THE JACKIE GLEASON SHOW", on CBS, eventually knocked this show off the air in 1953.

Thank you for this! I've always wondered what Tallulah looked like doing The Big Show. This gives me a little idea. She's SO cute laughing in a hanky.
WOW - great stuff - please what was this from and can I get in full from somewhere?

@gregdafaggot: This was from the "Comedy" episode of the PBS series "Television" that was originally broadcast in the late 80s. I don't know if it's available.
