Google Releases Google Sync for iPhone and Windows Mobile

In this video, I discuss Google's recent announcement of iPhone and Windows Mobile devices to their Google Sync service. What differentiates Google Sync from Apple's MobileMe is that synchronization is done over the air (OTA) and in the cloud. This has been out for a while for Blackberries and Symbian devices and has been touted as the Android platform's key feature. As of now, Google Sync will synchronize your contacts and calendars with your devices, but it won't synchronize email at this point. If you do choose to use Google Sync, be sure you back up your contacts and calendars since it may replace the data on your device. Enjoy!

I had an IPhone, and I backed up my contacts to google.  I now have a andorid phone so how do I access those saved old iphone informaiton?

Hey what the fuck why can't I not just sync my contacts and calendar with google sync cos I'm self-employed and can't be loosing all my contacts and calendar on my iPhone. I know I can back up on iTunes but what do I do after that got to wright everything into google or what ???? HELP ME

so this is the same thing as mobileme right? cause right now, I use mobileme for calanders, contacts, and bookmarks on my iphone, and I use gmail for email. Just to verify, If I enabled the calander and contacts under the gamil accont on my iphone, does that mean any chnages I make to my contacts and calander on my iphone will sync with both my Google contacts and G-calander, as well as my ical and addressbook on my mac? cause thats how mobileme works.
