[This is PART 2 of clips, please check out PART 1 as well!]

If you've never played Tribes: Aerial Assault on the PS2, well, try it! :) If you like first-person shooters (although, it can be played in third-person as well) this is a really fresh take on the genre, even though it is many years old now.

Thanks to the work of onlineconsoles.com, if you've got a copy of this game around, you can still play it online! And it plays great! I got lucky enough to play in a game scheduled by the community at tribesaa.net, and it was a blast. I'm terrible, but it's still great. I used to play Tribes 2 on the PC in like, 1999-2000, but I never got to play the PS2 version hardly at all. By the time I got a PS2, it was well passed the prime for this game in terms of online participation.

Nonetheless, this video show some clips from the online game played on July 13, 2010. It was an awesome time, and hopefully not the last!

If you need info on how to get online with your PlayStation 2, Dreamcast or even GameCube, please check out:

  • Hahaha wonderful, its this retro goodness that i subscribed for!

  • @GreatDane201 Thanks for the comment, glad you like it! Is it that retro though? :) Eh, I guess it's been out since 2002, that's retro enough. But this really is a game that would be great on the 360 or PS3. Someone should get on that. Right now. :)

  • @TheDarkMonk789 That's about the time frame I played as well! I was on dial-up, so I usually ended up just repairing the base and setting up defenses. Too much action, and I'd just lag out until it was over. lol Thanks for mentioning Tribes Next! I have seen that, but, I haven't tried it yet. I probably should. But I rarely even play Tribes:AA, only once a month really. Oh well. Still a great game, and needs to be remade for modern consoles. I'd probably play more if it were on the 360
