Solidarity protest in Dublin, Ireland, 8/12/07 organised by Ógra Shinn Féin. Dublin Basque/Irish Committee also in attendance.

Protest called in response to arrest of 46 Political, Social and Cultural activists in the Basque Country and against ongoing repression from the Spanish State.

  • You can't compare two situations so differents. North Ireland should belong to the rest of the island. They have the right to be free of British Empire. I'm basque , and The Basque Country has always belonged to Spain. We have never been independent.

  • No podéis comparar dos situaciones tan diferentes. El norte de Irlanda debe pertenecer al resto de la isla. Tienen derecho a ser libre del imperio británico. Yo soy vasca, y el País Vasco siempre ha pertenecido a España. Nunca hemos sido independientes.

  • @urukhey So, why the Castellan kingdom decided destroying all the castles of Navarre (Estella for example). It is false that the kingdom was conquisted without fight, during 1512 and 1521 there were fights. Sometimes with the help of Pedro de Navarra (Mariscal).

    It is false that 4000 french soldiers die, some of them are mercenaris but german and gascon, not french, the rest are Navarres. I recommend you to read: "Historia de Navarra el estado vasco" Mikel Sorauren Edit:Pamiela.

  • @urukhey So, what happened with the kingdom of Nafarroa? 1200 Gasteiz (9 months resisting the castellans troops), 1512-1521 Amaiur, The battle of Noain where more than 4000 soldiers died fighting for the independence of Nafarroa, carlist wars...
