It has been a strange historical phenomenon that the British occupation of various nations has had varied effects. On balance I would suggest that the British occupation of India was a positive thing for Indian society. On the other hand the exceptionally cruel and exploitative relationship that Britain has maintained with Ireland was disastrous to the people of Ireland and one of the worst examples of colonialism found anywhere in history.

2nd thing: Learn your facts before you go mouthin about who "Kharma will get" less than 31% of IRA victims were civilians including lord mountbatton, UVF Planted a bomb in Mc Gurks Bar in Belfast killing !15! Men, women and children in 1971, I think this sounds more like Kharma comin back to haunt use not the other way around!

mountbatten also abolished suttee ( burning of hindu woman after her husband pasees away)
still can't believe that anyone can think this was justified.

@amacdonald27 The anti English views of certain Scots and Welsh are so pathetic, out of anyone in the union the English have the worst standard of living: paying most tax, highest persription charges, most for university and we don;t have our own devolved body like you do.
