Fender Highway 1 Strat into Fender Champion 600

Just playing around with the "apartment" set-up but I reckon the Champion 600 sounds reasonable an is just about the only amp I could get away with living in a flat!!

Highway 1 Strat with Custom Shop 69 pickups, Picture Wah, VL Micro Vibe, MXR Classic 108 Fuzz, Boss SD-1, Line 6 DL-4, into a Fender Champion 600.

I was gona buy a USA standard strat hss.. After listening to this tone the highway 1 sounds more like what im after.. I know they are cheaper as well but would you recommend?

Thanks! It depends - bear in mind I've replaced the pickups on my H1. The originals were not so vintage sounding. Also, I think the tuners on H1 are pretty poor quality and need replacing. Not a huge job but once you've replaced the tuners and p'ups its not such a bargain.

If I were you I'd try and keep an open mind, play as many strats in your price range as you can (regardless of colour and model type) and pick the one you like the best. There are good and bad all Fenders.

could you do a demo of the champion with the highway one but no pedals and put the volume to full and the pickup to the bridge so i can hear the 600s natural overdrive =D please!

Hi, sorry I don't own the champ 600 anymore. I don't recall it's overdrive tones beign a strong point - i preferred running it clean with pedals.

just no other amp sucks that tone from fender like fender amp . There is something specific about those amps i like lot to hear but not to own , coz i hardly could imagine that amp for heavier stuff . Btw nice skills . I have this H1 version , replaced original single coil wit Shadow humbucker . But after this vid im not sure thats what im after . What would u recomend as options ?

dude! great playing - getting my highway on wednesday ;). would you mind telling me what pedal you kick in at 4:55? it sounds like a blues overdrive or a fuzz correct me if i'm wrong because i'm interested in that sound
