The tourbillon is an important part of watchmaking history, and is fascinating to watch in action.

This is a detail shot of the tourbillon escapement in a Stuhrling Original Imperial Tourbillon. The watch model is the Rosetone/Brown limited edition, which is one of 100 made.

The video was shot on a Nikon D300s, with a 105mm f/2.8 micro lens (the non-VR one) manually focused. It covers one rotation of the tourbillon escapement, which takes one minute to complete.
