From 6000 monasteries to 1600 brothels in 60 years. That's economy for ya under Chinese rule. When inhumane acts happened in South Africa, the world protested with business and sports sanctions and so on, which were instrumental in the release of Mandela and the end of apartheid.
Pity that Tibet is lacking the gold and diamonds for the world to really, really, really take action on the atrocity.

Tibetans are right around the World now. Even in New Zealand. Thousands are in Switzerland. No doubt many in are in the US (land of the free).

@HumanRightsVideosT I wish china would open up its borders and just let all the tibetans run to dalai lama and eat up all of his resources. independence or autonomy will not happen soon because ccp is in firm control or china and tibet campaign is run by a bunch of clowns, fools, morons, etc. yes 3000 travel to india every year, but people go back to tibet eventually because there are just more jobs in tibet than india. do u know those numbers.

It used to be the case that about 3000 Tibetans a year managed to escape from Tibet. But the communist party has cracked since 2008 and the flow of refugees has markedly reduced.

Its not just the PLA occupying the INVADED COUNTRY of Tibet there are all sorts of CCP goons (or security personal).
Roadblocks can check what Tibetans are up to and stop them ESCAPING well before they get anywhere near border.

do you actually believe that the pla has the abilities to stop the migration of 7 million tibetans? those guys barelly have enough ability to prevent their own people leaving their own country. my assertion about only morons are running the free-tibet campaign is absolutely true. those fucken pot heads have never even lived in tibet and have the nuts to represent tibet. go back to smoking hemp and let real adults run politics.

They have been imprisoned allegedly for “subverting state power” when actually they have been giving voice to the Tibetan identity and cultural heritage. Such repressive measures undermine unity and stability. Likewise, in China, Many lawyers defending people’s rights, independent writers and the human rights activists have been arrested. I strongly urge the Chinese leaders to review these developments and release these prisoners of conscience forthwith.

The Chinese government frequently states that the stability and development inside Tibet is the foundation for its long-term well-being. However, the authorities still station large numbers of troops all across Tibet, increasing restrictions on the Tibetan people. Tibetans live in constant fear and anxiety. More recently, many Tibetan intellectuals, public figures and environmentalists have been punished for articulating the Tibetan people’s basic aspirations.
