DVD is available at tibetdoc.com Recent refugees who escaped Chinese torture in Tibet and arrived in Dharamsala, India to an uncertain future. In light of the recent events in Tibet I've decided to post the entire documentary I shot in India about Tibetan refugees who had just escaped from Chinese torture in Tibet. It's available at Netflix, and other online areas, but it's more important that the words of these eyewitnesses is put into the public airspace. Tibetans have been tortured, beaten and jailed since the Chinese invaded their country, I have footage of a doctor who left because he could no longer sterilize Tibetan woman in good conscience. Most of these interviews are children or monks - their stories are heartbreaking. If you want to see Tibet, check out my doc Journey Into Tibet.com where I take a trip with Robert Thurman across Tibet.

I also feature HH The Dalai Lama, Robert Thurman, Grammy winner Yungchen Llamo, the Nechung Monks, the State oracle of Tibet, the 17th Karmapa and others. I couldn't put the entire hour long movie at one time, but it's in 5 edited clips of ten minutes each on youtube, and the other clips will soon appear. Long live the great Tibetan culture and people, and please pray for Tibet.

  • to you folks (from china) who complain about the content of this video. I'm sorry - I'm just the messenger. These children and monks walked away from their families and loved ones to come to freedom in India. The Indian has been very generous to the Tibetan people, offering them a place to settle. They have no money so they can use our help. I'm sorry for the tragic loss of the monks and their families who have been killing themselves rather than flee Tibet. They feel they have no hope. Awful.

  • Tibetans are Chinese, my friends.

    Invading Tibet is invading China.

    Study Dalai Lama's middle-way.

  • History, I'm sorry to say, doesn't support the second sentence. When you do go to Lhasa, Gyantse, or even Kailash, you'll see very clearly that Tibet is, and has always been, different and separate from China. The world knows China has only been in Tibet for only 60 years, illegally; China attacked Tibet in 1906, then again in 49, and finally, in 1959. No matter how many times people say "Tibet is part of China," won't make it true. Chinese and Tibetans should be friends; they're neighbors.

  • whatis going to happen to these children? when will they get to see there parents?Howmanychildren come to the refugee community from Tibet and what can we Americans do to help them.?

  • They are taken care of by the Tibetan Government in Exile - they have a school that provides for them, gives them shelter and education - it's impoverished, when I was there, they didn't have fresh water, got it from a stream that ran down the hill. I was told a fresh water pump only cost $1500, but I didn't have the dough to give it to them. If you Google Tibetan children's school, you'll find some sights, try tvc.org.in

  • @martini, I really cried after watching those kids ! God bless you for your work.

  • @SuperKinja thank you. they touched me as well.

  • This is not true at all. They should not assimilate. By assimilating they would forfeit all of the key values their culture once held dear. What they should do is remember the old ways and not let them fade as time passes.

  • Very interesting.

  • China was once Buddhist. I think the Chinese "workers paradise" will soon fall of its own weight. The Chinese people may rise up and oust the party parasites that live in rich splendor along the coast. China may then have a happy relapse into Buddhism and true democracy. Tibet may be the virus that brings the Chinese party bosses down. The Tibetan liberation of China is a real possibility.

I love your comment. (Can't seem to give out thumbs up.)

In particular, your last sentence, which I have never seen written anywhere. I spent time with some Tibetans here in Australia. One person hates the Chinese, but another lived in the Kangding region, spoke Chinese as well as other languages, and didn't express hatred.

I'm not oversentimental, including about children, but these kids are exquisite. Want to wipe milk off face of sweet cheeky little boy at 6mins.

  • @ obsidianstatue

Relations Between The Dalai Lamas of Tibet and the Manchu Qing Dynasty do not show that Tibet was Part Of China

    please go to

    tibetjustice. org/reports/sovereignty/ independent/c/index.html (remove spaces)

    .

tibetjustice. org is the website of a group of lawyers from around the world who are interested in Tibet. They know what they are taking about. There is lots of excellent information on tibetjustice. org

  • @obsidianstatue The Canadians living in the province of Quebec (originally signed the Canadian confederation in 1867) have twice voted on whether they could gain sovereign independence from Canada. Did you know that? The majority did not win the vote and so they remain part of Canada. Just because a place is part of a country today does not mean it always will be. The people of that land decide. Oh and congratulations to south Sudan who will be an independent nation in just 4 more days!!

  • as i know they can return to tibet in any time, no one will stop them. it's a promise made by deng xiaoping in 1980s, isn't it?

  • @lycopene1 tibet WAS a country but china came and toke it now its china where do you thing free tibet protests are for ?

  • @martinifilm tibet has been internationally recognized by historians from all countries as a part of China since 1750s longer than the existance of USA, Australia or Cananda, so by the same logic those countries must give their land and soverignty back to the navtives of the respective countries then point fingers at China :) btw i dont see how tibet is currently not a part of China, with my Chinese passport im able to go to tibet anytime i want and live their for long as i want.

  • @lycopene1 no way, different language look different in all ways total different..
