Patten shootin my grandfathers new 7MM. I'm laughin cause I just shot it while he was somewhere else and he didnt realize how much kick it had. You can see the scope actually smack him in the nose on the first shot.

  • wow thats quite a flinch. lol. lucky you didnt get hurt

  • @keefertopher thats not me, thats my buddy from my old unit. after watchin that though i was suprised he didnt get a gash above his eye or anything

  • I am wondering if a 7mm Rem Mag would be suitable for me. ATM I have a .243 and was shooting some mountain goat from about 150m. I must of shot a few but they didn't die (or died later). Is 150m too close range? I like to shoot hares as well from short distances ~100m. Ammo is most likely expensive but I am going to get into handloading soon.

  • Well I think the .243 might not have enough pop to it to bring down a mountain goat. However, the 7rem. mag would do just fine. 150m too close? dont think so, although if you routinely get that close i would shoot heavy hollowpoints to reduce pass throughs.

  • Hares, Well the 7mm Rem Mag is overkill for those. 100m you should do fine with a .22lr or a .17hmr If you want to go centerfire then i guess a .22 hornet, .223, or a .22-250 would work 2. Still overkill for hares and underpowered for goats. Rounds are expensive for the 7mm. 25bucks a box of 20 is bout as good as it gets.

  • im 14 shootin 175 grains through my 7mag. if he holds that gun right he wouldnt have the scope fly into his face.

  • @irishthunder50.

hey mate Im in Australia, land of the most nasties ....

we put a number of 150 grains into the chest of a buffalo and the dam thing kept trotting away, we followed it for about 2 km through the scrub, following the blood trail but had to head back as we left the truck unlocked and there are too many drunks passing on that road of an afternoon,. mostly local indigenous so not a good idea to leave it too long. will post a vid of two buffalo on the road.

  • @v8rangee where you at. Im in texas and that was the price of the remington cor locts i think two years ago. its my grampas gun and we reload for it so i couldnt tell you what the factory price is now. Id like to try water buffalo someday. i know bison is real tasty

  • @bigntasty50 No joke...I was waiting Thought that scope was going to give him a hello kiss...

  • @cerdull Well i have shot 200 grain out of my 7mm rem mag and nothing has happend to it.....

  • 25 bucks for a box of 20 .. lol.. here we can pay 69 buck for a box of winchester 150 grains, or the cheapest are the hi lander at 37 bucks for 20 rounds... but dont wast your time on them. i use the remington or the federsd, at the end of the week we are going to cull some water buffalo with the remington rounds... taste good to

  • Did he get a black eye on that last shot? :-)

  • @cerdull i load my own 200 grain they go through 4 old tractor tiers b4 they stop
