Here is a quick cover of the classic tune "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" performed by Guns N' Roses, Live Era album (recorded in 1992).

On this one I use a SM57 in front of my analog live rig: Fender Aerodyne P-Bass + Dimarzio pickups, Fender Rumble 350, Boss CEB3 bass chorus.

  • Hey dude, I've seen a lot of your bass covers, and man...You rock!

I started to play bass about 2-3 months ago, and I've always wondered how do you get that amazing tone. I am thinking to get bass effect stuff.

In this video I see you have a lot of diferent pedals. I dont know if I should buy a Multi effect pedal board or many single pedals for diferent kind of effects. What do you think I should do? Wich Pedals u use? Btw, my bass is a Squier Vintage Mod. Jazz Bass.

    Greetings from Portugal

  • @94Rudro Hi ! thanks a lot dude. There is one important effect you should have to get that tone: chorus. this is the key thing. other pedals are great to get a tone even more close and edgy, like compressor and EQ pedal. No distortion ! the growl and the natural high gain is produced by the dimarzio (high outup pickups). If you want an advice, go for individual pedals and avoid the multi-effects. pedals are anolog most of the time, and it's far better (for me). Hope it will help !

  • super cover :)

  • can you tell me what effects you are using?

  • @MegaSolo25 Boss CEB-3
