No, even though the music is the same, the lyrics are in english, and pretty different from their original meaning, in which there's no mention of sailor moon at all.

I was humming this at school today....the problem is that I haven't seen this show in years!

The opening animations changed to reflect character revelations in the anime fairly frequently, but the actual song was only remixed for all seasons save for the last - Sailor Stars - where a different song from Moonlight Densetsu was used.
I prefer Moonlight Densetsu.
