When was the last time we had a series finale of USA TV proportions like this on a UK serial drama? In fact do we have UK serials anymore? I remember that episode and being kept gripped for months before the next series.

A whole load of sad middle aged men wore medallions in the 1980s - that's why the phrase "medallion man" was coined. Ken was a fashion disaster. Then he dabbled in 1980s shoulder pads... even funnier!
This was great!
Some of the fashions were outrageous though! The hair... the shoulder pads... sheer brilliance!
The '80s had some of the wackiest clothes since flared trousers came into fashion in 1968! I love looking at my local newspaper archive for clothes shop ads of 60s and 80s fashions.
