This is from a movie.

A record was first released in Japan, but interestingly a CD was not sold in Japan.

Instead, I found a CD when I was traveling in the USA :) The title was Millennia.

You can download from a commercial music cite (iTune? Sony Japan? I forgot).

Anyway, I love this album.

Heh - It IS Kitaro, my friend.

There was an anime TV series called "Gueen Millenia" based on works by Matsumoto.

Then there was a theatrical release - also titled Queen Millenia. (Or Queen Millenia the Movie)

This soundtrack was composed and performed by Kitaro for the movie version of the story.

To the best of my knowledge, it is the ONLY time he ever composed for an anime of any type.
