  • Physically, it could. But it is dumb and dangerous to do aerobatics in a non aerobatic airplane, unless you are Bob Hoover. And, for anything other than an aileron roll or spin, there's a good chance you would exceed the g limits of a normal category airplane.

  • I was wondering how you've reached your entry speeds so quickly. Being an Aerobat owner, I know it takes awhile for the speed to build up. Then I saw why: at 3:09 you can see your tach at 2700 to 2800 RPMs...well beyond redline! Other than that, it was a nice display of aerobatics!

  • @tonpilot : My Aerobat had a Sparrowhawk Conversion, with different pistons and a different redline. It's been so long, I don't recall what it was, but it was higher than the normal A-152.

  • Very entertaining -- took me back a few years -- thanks. If you keep the wings level during a loop you should hit your own slipstream on the round out at the bottom. Bet your landing was perfect next time up!

  • yes to the slip stream, and to the landing. it's been over ten years since that video, and every landing has been better than that one!

  • yeah love doing these moves in the old 152.. one time my instructor was showing me an avalanche when the door popped open upside down at 3000 feet! good times!!

  • @CSXer I am fourteen, and i have been flying since i was 9, especially in the 152 mostly, but a fair amount in the 150,172,180,182, and the mooney ranger, i like the ol' 152 the best, its a great airplane, i have also flown the 152 aerobat model seen in this video, and that model is more structaly strong than the ordinarry 152, its not designed for 10g's, but it can take ALOT more than seen in this video, i do these same manuvers myself in a 152 aerobat, and i know it can handle it!

  • 6 spin = BONER

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that avalanche, holy moley, i would throw up so bad xD

  • im assuming that cessna was maybe equipped for aerobatics because it had a G meter

  • poor cessna!

i studying now on cessna 152

  • @aerobat3 I was thinking the same thing. Just because a car CAN go 150mph, doesn't mean you should try it....

  • @rrc976 I'm not 100% sure, but IIRC, each turn is 500 feet. so it should be ~3000 feet.
