  • I remember when there was a picture of a clock tower and the music was slower in the 1960's. I wish I could find it somewhere!

  • @wmbrown6 au contraire. Depending on how many movies WCBS would show in a night, and if none were "made for TV Movies", then WCBS on the odd night did indeed air a Late Late Late Show! usually around 4am

  • MAN! I REMEMBER THIS!!! THANKS

  • The exact air date was late Nov. 19/early Nov. 20, 1983, starting at midnight.

  • When was that Parks Sausages ad produced? I only remember the ones with the little animated boy saying, "More Parks Sausages, Mom! Please?"

  • P.S. - The "new" title used was "Stories of the Century."

  • Wow, this takes me back.

  • Are you doing to do any WNBC Commercial Breaks? Or Any WABC Commercials reaks for Late Movie?

  • WCBS even attempted an actual "Late Late Late Show," to start at 2 A.M. on Nov. 11/12, 1955, but per a New York Times article, they were "quick, quick, quick to change its name." Apparently, the famous "Honeymooners" episode notwithstanding, in the end there was no "Late Late Late Show" in real life.

  • Its long run began on Feb. 26, 1951; in its first week (and part of its second) on the air, it bore the not-so-memorable title (per old New York Times TV listings) of "The Film Theatre of the Air." "The Early Show" debuted on April 2, 1951, and "The Late Late Show" title was first seen around June 6, 1951, though as early as late May of that year there was a "Late Show Double Feature" weeknights ("TLLS" didn't air seven nights a week until Nov. 1, 1953).
