Edited clip of London's Rapiers stepping to The Fabulous Flee-Rekkers' rocked-up "Greensleeves" retitled "Green Jeans" by genius early '60s British record producer Joe Meek. From left: Dave Lawes (rhythm), Brad Dallaston (bass), John Tuck (drums), Colin Pryce-Jones (lead guitar). Visit http://rapiers.typepad.com for more on this utterly rockin' band that remembers all that was best and brightest about British Beat.

  • It is called "Green Jeans", based on Joe Meek rocking up the original "Greensleeves".

  • Green Jeans indeed, as they also did saturday night at the duckpond (a rocked up version of swan lake )

  • Great track!

The Rapiers did some great instrumentals (and vocals too) int the 60's style.

    I love their music.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Nice. I think this tune is called Greensleves, not Green Jeans.

    Regards

    Rune
