@SignedSign Good idea, but that would be a little too much . You may clog the combustion area with fuel before the fuel in the combustion area is actually used up completely. I think a gentle shake would break loose the ash and allow a smoother feed which is all important if the Gasifier is to operate efficiently.
why not just attack a steel rod to the generator and the shaker, as the generator vibrates pretty good when running then those vibrations would transfer to the shaker, just an idea lol
LincTexPilot is correct, but offered no solution. I had the same mistake in my cyclone, the outlet pipe was too long. I took my cyclone apart and cut the outlet pipe back to just 2" below the inlet. This will allow the heavy stuff to fall to the bottom and not be sucked back into the gas stream. I added a screw on catch basin for sediment removal. Good luck with your fire up.
