You're about to revisit one of the greatest moments in Michigan football history. Bob Ufer's last bowl game was approaching, and after watching the wolverines come away with defeat in every single bowl game for over a decade, he had had enough. In preparation Bob Ufer wrote and delivered a pep rally speech so inspiring that it remains to this day one of the greatest and most moving sports speeches ever given. In fact, there are many who feel that the reason Michigan played the way they did the next day was in great part due to the sheer inspirational power of his remarkable speech.

Watch for one more chapter coming soon; the "Bob Ufer: A Life in a Season finale".

  • I LOVE MICHIGAN FOOTBALL. AND I LOVE THIS VIDEO.. I'M IN TEARS RIGHT NOW JUST HERING THIS.. GO BLUE

  • Awesome. I've been looking for this speech on the web. One of the greatest of all time.

  • @michgoblue24 Thanks, I really appreciate this comment. It means a lot to me that my Bob Ufer videos really do affect people as strongly as I hoped they could. Certainly Bob Ufer deserves it.

  • @Tonym1956 I am a grown man but I admit that when I watch the "Bob Ufer vs Ohio St" video (part one and two), I get teary eyes every time, especially the last 5 minutes of part 2/

  • No one ever did it better than Bob, no one ever will. Like thousands of other MEECHIGAN faithful, we'd sit in the Big House & watch the game, but have a small pocket radio & we'd be listening to Bob call the game. He'll be gone 30 years this fall, but every season I still hear his "Cotton Pickin" Maize & Blue voice & scoring horn in my head with every big play & TD. God Bless you Bob.

  • 5,4,3,2,1, touchdown Billy Taylor, touchdown Billy Taylor!!!

  • "Ufer Goes To Hollywood." Or,should I say Pasadena?

  • @goblue122394 He will.He knows the Michigan culture.

  • Brady Hoke WILL restore Michigan to greatness. I know it.

  • Bob Ufer should be in The College Football Hall Of Fame.
