The Global Economy is in dire straits. World Leaders at the APEC Summit seem poised to move to even more Free Trade. Leaders are indicating a world-wide depression is imminent. Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper stated that Canada will not wall it's self up "Now is not the time to become protectionist". Canada signed a Free Trade agreement with Colombia today.

Anger towards America seems to be changing. It hasn't gone away it's just morphing, but into what???

  • Bush said protectionism is the path to depression. So what has globalization/free trade led to?

    What a dumb ****

  • Free trade is about globalism, not about what's best for nations and their people. While mistakes were made during the great depression, the greater folly is to make blanket statements suggesting that all policies under taken at the time were folly, and smugly assume, with our heads up our asses, that we have all the answers that our forefathers didn't. Free trade doesn't necessarily mean fair trade - especially in the case of huge trade deficits. Globalism is making matters worse, not better.

  • Beware of political scams. The Illuninati rules.
