You can search the entire internet but nobody has been able to achieve anything close to this magnitude.

I agree. Think about it. No way you're getting close to a quarter mile on flat land. Put me on a raised surface such as a small mountain or cliff and I'll throw it a half mile. Hell, I'll throw it two miles if you put me on top of the John Hancock building here in Chicago. Let's see a REAL record distance throw on flat land. Guiness ought to regulate these record attempts. Maybe I'll apply to break the record and rent me a helicopter and throw it from a few thousand feet high.
