  • Nice piece! Not your typical YT waste! Something to remmeber...

  • It was realy sad to see them destroy this great insitution. Someone must have been asleep at the wheel. They saved Maury and Granby! There's much more to this story than simply tearing down a building. I wonder if we'll ever get the complete story. Time will tell.

  • I attended Wilson from September 1982-June 1983

  • One last comment and I will go. I suddenly realize what the indoor footage of the interior reminds me of: google "lost detroit" and you will find links to similar images of ruined, emptied libraries and so forth.

I have pondered this but for the life of me I can't think of any common denominator between these two cities. Funny coincidence, isn't it?

  • I stumbled upon this because while using Google earth yesterday I noticed a giant void in Westhaven where the earth was apparently sewn with salt, where once stood a proud and optimistic monument to learning and to the future. I moved from Tidewater 15 years ago but family ties and memories still keep the place in my heart and I check up on these things. I think your video is going to move me to write an essay on the decline of our society in one lifetime.

  • the bach music is too loud and inappropriate. You should remix this with something milder. the auditorium seated n number of people, not "the auditorium sat n number of people". Miss Brady knew that to sit is always an intransitive verb.

I make these mordant critiques because otherwise this is beautifully done and a priceless historical document.

My mom went to WWHS in the late 50s/early 60s when the place probably still smelt of drying putty and paint.

  • I attended WWHS from 1988-1989.

  • I attended the Willett Drive Big Box from September 1964 til December 1967. In a way, I am sorry that the complex does not exist anymore! It will be interesting to know what, if anything, has taken its place on Willett Drive!

  • Great Video! Brings out the best in the moment... felt like I was actually there!
