JR has been on a whirlwind tour of Los Angeles over the past week. Preparing a number of new murals throughout the city, the talented french street artist is participating in the LA Freewalls Project downtonwn. The project is curated by Daniel Lahoda and consists of over 100,000 square feet of outdoor mural space, soon to be the world's largest outdoor art gallery. JR won the TED Prize and will be giving a lecture in Long Beach at the TED conference in March.

@RubeksCube You must not understand what they were doing. They had separate sheets they were gluing to a wall 1 by 1. If you don't think it is hard to perfectly match up every detail, that is where you are wrong. Yes, an eye isn't the most original thing they could have made, but there is just something about an enormous eye that is repulsing and creepy. If you look up more of JR's art, the highlight of most of it is eyes. Hes very talented, much more than you.
